You Need A Hook Up
We live in a world desperate for connection. People are looking for the right “hook up”. When this phrase is used, it can mean many things. “Hook-ups” are designed as something desirable in a relationship. Having the connection is as good as qualifying to get through the door. Hook up grants them access that they would not normally get because they are not eligible. Some people have taken advantage of the relationship, allowing them to be somewhere they had no business having access. We don’t often realize that the most important hookup is not found in social media but in Jesus Christ.
When connections fail, there can be absolute disorder. There can be seriously consequences down the road. We need to have the right spiritual connection. When you come to church on Sunday, sometimes you do not have the right resource to build up. When you come to church there times you need a connection to something that is greater than yourself.
How do we live out what we have been taught? Live like you are connected to Jesus Christ. You cannot have sweet and bitter come out your mouth at the same time. You can have differences and still be united. we have more than things in agreement than we have in disagreement. Your gifts are not given to you to promote you. It is given for the benefits for the body of Christ. Your gift is a hookup.
