The Sound Sight and Speech of Pentecost
We need the fire of God to be among us. We do not want the form of Pentecost, nor the fire. We need the fire. When heaven showed up, there were three things that happened. There was a sound, a sight, and the speech. This was a divine manifestation. The Holy Ghost is looking to sit on someone right now. Pentecost is not the end of something but the beginning of something to fall on every saint.
Pentecost means fifty. Luke uses the term in reference to the festival of wheat. Pentecost is just a representation of a number. Pneuma means breath, wind, spirit. When someone has no breath in them, we do CPR to put breath back into them. That is pneuma. It is the breath of God. That is what we want. We want God to breathe the breath of God into them. It is the same pneuma that breathed on Adam and the dry bones. Pneuma is also what happened on the day of Pentecost. Fire in the spirit, aluminate, purifies, and separates. When God ascended upon Mount Sinai, he showed up in fire. Fire illuminates that God is in the midst. If you want to find God, look for the fire.
Pleroo is the Greek word for fill. What you bring to the table is what God will fill. If you bring a small cup, He will fill the small cup. God wants to fill everything that is within you. The holy Ghost wants to fill everything in your life. Glossa is the Greek word for tongue. It is our mouth that always keeps us in trouble.
The sound: The Bible said not a sight but a sound. If you hear the right thing, you will see the right thing. I am going to trust what I see before what I hear first. Before I see anything, I will hear it first. The sound was so vigilant that it was unmissable and it filled the place. The Bible says heaven broke open. God gave them a promise, but not a time for when it will come to pass. Are you willing to wait on His promise? You have to learn how to wait on God. God has no clock. God is the time of eternity. The announcement comes before the manifestation. If you can hear it, you will eventually see it.
The Wind: Lord, send the wind again. Breathe on us. Declare it on us. Let the breath of God be on our lives. When the sound of the wind came, fire appeared on their tongues.
The Fire: What appeared on each of them as fire of cloves. The Bible says the fire sat on each of them. One fire, but the fire divided itself until everyone got a portion. No one got more or less. This Pentecost, I want what God has determined for my life. The fire did not just start and stop out. The fire comes and goes with you wherever you go. On this Pentecost, I brought my own fire. Lord, blow on me.
